Turquoise used to be the talisman of choice for kings and shamans,one of the oldest stones in existence. Its name derives from the french, "pierre turquoise", meaning “Turkish stone”. Turquoise was cherished as a symbol of wisdom and nobility and it was believed that it held the power of immortality.
